New at DIY Printing

      DIY Printing has been super busy so my apologies for not blogging more. Our new studio is already filled up with equipment. We have artists and projects printing in the studio all the time and are continuing to grow. We thank everyone for there support and energy. We also thank everyone for Screen Printing in DIY Printing and putting up artwork. Our walls are starting to look like a gallery of cool screen prints of every shape, form and style we could imagine. Some of you may know them and some of these artist may just blow your mind. We are having some local artist coming into DIY Printing December 7&8th for the Essex Art Walk. They will be printing there artwork and giving a demo of their artwork as well as selling their work. So come on out and support some local art. Also we are putting on a New Years Eve printing party. This will get started 9ish Monday the 31st and we will be printing the night away bringing in the New Year making artwork! This is a very chill party so bring what you want and get ready to print. We also have partnered up with the Art academy of Cincinnati and have started running classes through them. so if your dying to learn screen printing or just want and excuse to get your butt into the studio this is it! Contact the Art Academy of Cincinnati for information and updates on classes at DIY Printing. We are also putting together a Mono screen printing class. We hope to have this running soon but again keep your eyes on the Art Academy of Cincinnati they will post it when its up and running. We have also had allot of local business come and support DIY Printing and help us keep our doors open through asking us to print for them. This also helps local starving artist because DIY Printing only hires artist to help with our work load and projects we take on. We are also starting to print more fine art prints for artists. We are always so excited to be working for artist. We love them and hope they love us. That being said we love artist and hope to keep on growing to be the best silkscreen studio in Cincinnati for artist. Hope to see you in the studio soon!

News at DIY Printing

Yes you heard correct we are moving to the ESSEX this month! We actually have a date of Sunday the18th should you want to come and help in the big move. We are very excited because we will have more space to print and expand our equipment. It would be awesome to get our 4ft x 8ft vacuum table up and printing again. I really want to see some huge prints come off it since it has a printing arm to help out in big prints! All in all DIY Printing is really looking forward to it's new home at the ESSEX and cant wait to settle in and get printing again. Other then that we finished up springboard a class at ArtWorks for small business. We learned a lot and hope to use the knowledge to keep this studio going! We are still printing away at DIY Printing with many different projects in Cincinnati and working with some great people! we are also working with some awesome studios like Southpaw and hope to have them come give some demo's at DIY Printing once we are set up at ESSEX. Also I hope to resume open studio nights and get a better schedule together as far as the rest of the year. News at DIY Printing

DIY Printing is still going! We are Printing Artwork and prints as well as printing T-Shirts for clients. We have recently partnered up with Visionary and Voices to see if we cant get some great projects started. We are looking forward to the short class we will be teaching to VOV February 27th and 28th. DIY Printing is still going strong with KB on the mural project. KB has been printing canvas bags and selling them to generate money for the mural project. She is is also collecting photos from different neighborhoods to help in laying the ground work of the silkscreen aspect of these murals. All of this has been an awesome project and working with KB has been just the bast. On a bit of a different note DIY Printing has to move out of the space we are in. This is good because we are getting a bigger space and might be moving into ESSEXS studio. This would be awesome because of the parking and the 4 show a year they have. these shows bring in the public and would see the studio of  DIY Printing. Also did I mention a bigger space. This means I will be busy as hell moving really big equipment (again) but I hope to a better studio! We want even more artist printing artwork out of DIY Printing and hope to be teaching more classes as well. Also I'm pretty sure on top of open studio nights we will add on a open drawing night to our schedule and throw in some open crit nights to get DIY Printing really going! I always have tons of stuff going on at DIY Printing so if your feeling motivated and want to make some artwork stop on by to DIY Printing. I would love to see what your working on and and love for you to use the studio.

News at DIY Printing

            We have been super busy in the studio this month. we have had quite a few artist making prints and printing for shows. We have also had some new blood walk through DIY's doors and we are looking forward to seeing their artwork. We are still looking for space because we need to expand so all of us can print at the same time. As of right now things are working out but we need more space. other then that we are just printing away and having a blast playing with prints. Me personally I just finished a 3 color print and hope to get another one done before the year is up. Also on a different note we have started working with and teach a class to Starfire! We are super excited about this and have a lot of great ideas in the mix. In addition to Starfire we have KB in DIY Printing doing some great artwork and getting her screens and ideas ready to print. We are having a blast with KB and Starfire and can't wait to see what happens in DIY Printing. We are still running strong on Open studio nights and if you feel like stopping bye to check out whats going on please feel free to. We have open studio Monday 7-10pm and Wednesday 7-10pm.We also had a Blast at Crafty Supermarket. Tons of silkscreened piggy banks being made and Crazy DIY Parrots being printed. we also handed out a ton of free swag. Also a special thanks to Becka Sage and Jen Kawanari for pulling everything together and watching out for DIY Printing! we couldn't of done it without ya! So we hope to see more art coming out of DIY Printing and work with more motivated artist in the future but for now keep on printing and making art because without it we are nothing. hope to print with you soon.

News at DIY Printing

       We are still running strong and have lots of new artist joining DIY Printing. We are really excited but this also brings us to our next adventure! That is looking for a bigger space. If you know of anything or anyone that would want to help let us know. Other then looking for a bigger space we are going to be at crafty supermarket November 19th doing some prints and having some fun. We hope to see you at crafty supermarket as well so you can stop by our booth and get some DIY Printing love. If you would like to help or design a poster or print to hand out give us a heads up and we will see if we can"t get you printing. We are still doing Open Studio nights Monday and Wednesday 7-10pm for all those wanting to check us out or just want to come by and see whats going on. The holidays are upon us so DIY is just kicking back a bit and just getting some printing done. We are also starting to make plans for next year. So if you or your organization would like to get involved with us let us know and we would be glad to come and have some fun printing with you. We are always doing our best to keep expanding and getting new equipment in so artist can do artwork. So if you know anyone who would love us to print for them so we can keep DIY Printing open we would be honored! Hope to be printing with you soon.

News at DIY Printing

        Tonight Wednesday Aug. 10th we are having open studio night. So stop on by and check out what we are doing! There is a lot of big news this month. One is we are doing Second Sunday on main the 14th of August. We will have a booth selling T Shirts and giving some posters away. Also we will be talking and telling people what we are about in hopes to grow our community at DIY Printing. Then almost right back into the mixx of thing we are supporting Semantics Gallery at there fundraiser August 20th Saturday 6-11pm. We will have a table or booth and be printing on any type of clothing you bring us for free as well as selling
T shirts and posters with Semantics on them. So we are always excited to support the local arts! Also this month we will be wheat pasting at the Mockbee Wednesday and Thursday the 24th and 25th in the evenings so it will be ready for Mockbee's final Friday event. We are really excited to be part of the Mockbee and support the local art scene! Also DIY Printing met with Starfire (a great organization helping people in the community) and we might be doing a mural with them and also possibly taking on a couple of interns. This is all in planning but we were very excited to be asked to be a part of such a great local organization. We also will be running classes on silk screening starting the first week in September. So check it out and register with us because we only have 4 spots available. I guess I will stop there and save some for the next blog but always looking forward to seeing you at DIY Printing.
